[a long walk downtown | austin engagement portrait photographer]

This couple wins the award for most ground covered downtown in one session! What troopers! These two are an incredibly sweet and kind pair, and I just can’t wait until the big day in September!!

I simply adore this flower in her hair. And I think I told her about ten times during the session, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love “in the moment” pictures… even in portrait sessions!

[Wedding Sneak Peek Part TWO! | Austin TX wedding photographer]

I’m so excited to share with you part two of this sneak peek! As I said before, I was able to photograph the reception as it unfolded… without hyper-scheduling or such things. Such a dream!

I love the details in this wedding! Any floral design incorporating artichoke is a sign of real style, I think!

He has to be the coolest uncle!

I just loved this little room and kept trying to think ย of a way to show it off without making it about the room, so I watched what was going on in there throughout the day just waiting for something to happen in there that would lend to the story of the day. I’m sure someone thought I was crazy for standing in there for a few minutes waiting for just the right people to walk across the floor! I’m so glad I did, though, because these are two of my favorite pictures now!

Now how clever is this. The children had their own little table with art supplied and Polaroid pictures to decorate pages of a Kolo album for the bride and groom to keep!

Oh I have SO many more I want to show you, but I must end somewhere. What better than with a dance?!

[Wedding Part Two | austin wedding photographer]

Here are a few more fun pictures! See the rest of this wedding below. Now here’s hoping that Mrs. A (bride) is a blog stalker. I didn’t bring her e-mail address with me to tell here they’re here. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wish I could take credit for the following pictures, but these are my husband’s (a.k.a. occasional second shooter) handiwork!

Now how awesome is this, UT fans?!

Is it bad that I want to get married again so that I can have one of these pictures? ๐Ÿ™‚

[one fun day! | austin wedding photographer]

What can I say about this wedding except that it was fun and heartwarming! There are still so many pictures to show, but here are some of my favorites so far…

The bride with her grandmother:

The flower girls and ring bearer were little delights with sweet personalities!

I love the violin at a wedding…

Bridesmaids, I know that it was rough walking around in these shoes, but look at how fabulous they are!

The sure sign that it’s a good marriage… that you flex her muscles at your wife, and she nearly faints in awe!

I’ll be back with some more of the groomsmen getting ready (hint: they were scholarly about it) and the reception… with a fun surprise for you UT fans!

The ceremony took place at the University of Texas (UT) Catholic Center and the reception was held at the beautiful alumni center!

[Nikah | Austin wedding photographer]

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing my first Muslim wedding. Although the events span four days, I spent three days with this precious family. I’m featuring some images from the Nikah ceremony as well as the fun family picnic the day after!

And then the picnic! What a special memory… especially since family came from all over the world to support the bride and groom!

The beautiful bride!

A little competition among families!

Thank you so very much for letting me be part of this very special time!!

[sneak peek part two | austin wedding photography]

Let’s start part two from the beginning: the bride getting ready!

The bride and groom decided to see each other before the wedding. I have some adorable pictures of the bride “sneaking up” behind the groom and tapping him on the shoulder. It’s really special to get those first faces and let the couple have a moment together before the day sweeps them away! Another bonus is that we can do a few pictures beforehand, too!

I thought this was adorable. I was trying to be sneaky, but I think that dad knew what I was up to!

I’d forgotten to mention that the ceremony took place at The Sanctuary church in central Austin, and the reception took place at The Terrace Club in Dripping Springs. Don’t these locations make for some beautiful wedding pictures?

Here’s the bride’s parents watching a slideshow of pictures of the bride and groom from childhood.

I’m afraid I may have to do a part three to this sneak peek! Just too many wonderful moments, and I could fill a post with pictures of dancing alone!

Oh how I love the pictures from this wedding! The nice thing about a photographer (such as yours truly) who will spend the day photographing your wedding – and not just a few hours – is that a couple who likes photojournalism gets a true 360 of their day. Additionally, a couple who like creatively posed pictures (as I call them), has time for full photo sessions during the day!

Here are a few from one of those creatively posed sessions with the bridal party of my last wedding. I have LOTS more fabulous photos to share with you from this wedding, so check back soon!

And yes, we have some serious pictures with each bridal party member and the bride/groom, but these are just so much more fun…

And a few of the lovely bride and her groom!
