I just had to share. 🙂
I just had to share. 🙂
This family of four is uber special because big sister happens to be one of my little guy’s friends AND mama happens to be a photographer, too! I always feel very special when photographers ask me to take their family pictures. 🙂
Ah! Such cuties!
Thank you, friends, for spending Saturday morning with me!
Meet the awesome Nixons. They have four children and an exchange student that is also totally awesome. They moved to Austin from Phoenix (woo hoo!). They are both organized and creative, which still makes my head spin. And we had a lot of fun walking around downtown last weekend.
Hello pretty lady!
Thank you, friends, for letting me photograph your sweet family!
This is Mae Piper. She is three days old. She came so fast that her mommy’s midwife didn’t make it in time, and her daddy delivered her! (No, I am not kidding.) She already follows sound with her eyes. She is a little firecracker… and her momma’s not intimidated. She’s the youngest of four, and she’s already brought this family a whole lot of joy!
These are her sisters and brother.
A special picture with big brother
This is her happy family.
And if the following three pictures don’t tell you what a distinct little personality she has, I don’t know what will! 🙂
And this is big sister. She and my son get along famously and I not-so-secretly am already planning their wedding. 😀
This was such a fun session! Big brother in waiting is just adorable… as you can see! And here I am amazed at another stunning mommy-to-be who is eight months along! *sigh* My favorite part about this session is all of the cute family moments!
Life unposed! Love the lighting… and the laughter…
And some with the whole family!
And my personal favorite…
And lucky, lucky, lucky me! I get to photograph baby sister when she comes!
First, I want to say that this is exactly how I looked when I was eight months pregnant. Okay, not so much! A few too many Oreos for me. I was so very thrilled to do a maternity session with my photographer friend, Mollie. It’s always fun to drag photographers out from behind their camera! I think the only thing that makes me happier about this is that I get to do a family session with their newborn!!
She put up with my crazy ideas, and I was very glad for that. 🙂
Are they not just the cutest?
Not every picture in a maternity session needs to show off the belly!
I’m going to have to post more from this series later. There are some REALLY stinkin’ adorable ones!
*sigh* This one is my favorite from the session!
Aren’t they the cutest?
I. Love. This. One!
And this one.
And one of the little miss…
Check out Mollie’s work at Bloom Austin.
Let’s just say that I ADORE the pictures from this session!
All done playing with the stick!
I know it’s not perfect in many ways, but this is one of my favorite pictures from the session:
Now, surely after all of these pictures, this little guy was too tired and cranky for more… right? Well, no. And I didn’t give a sneak peek for several spots we visited, too! He’s made for the camera! One more little moment that just so fully captures childhood to me… sticks on a stone wall… drums of course!
