I really do love her name and just had to get it in the title! I was thinking about how fun it is to have repeat clients, because you know exactly which rooms in their house to go to for light. The fun thing about having repeat photographer “clients” is that THEY know exactly which rooms in their house to go to for light AND which way to face. 🙂 This is my favorite little light spot in her house, and I realized that all our favs come from this little space!
And it didn’t disappoint this time, either:
I think I tried jumping up and down on my stool after taking the above picture!
Since mama’s a photographer, there wasn’t a need for me to do the usual newborn pictures, but there were still a couple moments during the session that I could not resist. 🙂
How special is this – little Eve had a portrait with all the ladies – her mama, sister, grandma, and auntie. 🙂
And a couple family pictures!
So, so thrilled for you friend Mollie!
Just full of love and happiness and joy. It was so moving to photograph these two and their sweet family, and I do hope I reflect that in their photographs!
The next series is “so” newborn, and so quickly passing that I’m thrilled we captured it!
LOVE this picture:
Oh these little darlings!
Melts my heart!!!
There are always unplanned, sweet moments in full newborn sessions, as in the following two. I know it’s the mom in my, but I few things are more precious to me than pictures of parents and their newborns.
Um, hello little miss stylin’!
We even got a couple pictures of the big brothers all by themselves!
And a couple family pictures, too…
Thank you so very much, G family, for letting me capture this moment in time. So very special you all are!
I have one sweet little love to share with you today! He was awake for most of the session and then we watched as he nodded out (got a cute almost-asleep close-up!) near the end. It’s amazing to me that these tiny ones already have their own little set of likes and dislikes and hints of what their personality will be like.
This time I’m starting with a couple pictures of mommy and baby because I’m just too excited about them! She’s just gorgeous anytime, but I think the first picture of her laughing is extra special. 🙂
And just as he dozed off and everything was perfect for his laying over the chair picture, he turned his head the other direction! Thought it was a good time for hands/feet pictures instead!
I love this expression!
His nursery is too cute! I love, love, love the squares painted on the wall and his polka dot sheet!
Thank you so much for letting me capture little C at such a precious time!
This is Mae Piper. She is three days old. She came so fast that her mommy’s midwife didn’t make it in time, and her daddy delivered her! (No, I am not kidding.) She already follows sound with her eyes. She is a little firecracker… and her momma’s not intimidated. She’s the youngest of four, and she’s already brought this family a whole lot of joy!
These are her sisters and brother.
A special picture with big brother
This is her happy family.
And if the following three pictures don’t tell you what a distinct little personality she has, I don’t know what will! 🙂
And this is big sister. She and my son get along famously and I not-so-secretly am already planning their wedding. 😀
and they are adorable little feet, too! I had such much fun with this little guy today. He is a rock solid sleeper at (I believe) eight days old. Well, he’s a rock solid sleeper during the day, at least!
First try… he’s the perfect foot model!
My son did this, too:
Here’s the (rightfully) proud mommy and daddy!
I love the sweet little faces they make in the first weeks!
And I get to do pictures with him twice in the next year! I love my job!
It seems that we just missed the cold front, which was perfect for this adorable little outfit! We took this little guy’s two year pictures at the capitol earlier in the week. I can’t believe what a variety of expressions we got from him! I love that about this age!
Here he is fixing his tricycle. Is this not adorable?!
I love this look.
Playing peek-a-boo with mommy!
I had a whole lot of fun exploring this house for fun photography spots! As you can see from the pictures, they’re a super cool family with a home full of bright color and genuine love.
How could I resist?
In some ways I’m glad that I have a boy – the clothes for girls are just too tempting!
These two pictures are some of my very most favorite newborn pictures. Something about them needs to be felt, not just seen.
And you can sit them in the spot, but you can’t force such a look of love:
