A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing my first Muslim wedding. Although the events span four days, I spent three days with this precious family. I’m featuring some images from the Nikah ceremony as well as the fun family picnic the day after!
And then the picnic! What a special memory… especially since family came from all over the world to support the bride and groom!
The beautiful bride!
A little competition among families!
Thank you so very much for letting me be part of this very special time!!
Here’s the latest scheduling news:
I have two Saturdays in May with openings left for portrait sessions. Please let me know if you’re interested in a May session! I am now booking portrait sessions through June and weddings into 2010.
The monthly special for April and May is a 16×20 gallery wrapped canvas with every fab session. In June, every fun or fab session booked will include a free itty bitty session (three pictures) in November for your Christmas cards and gifts! (There will be one Saturday in November reserved for itty bitty sessions, and the free session must take place on this date.)
Here are the wedding openings for the rest of the year:
April & May – booked
June – one remaining!
July – two remaining!
August – one remaining! (inquiries for this spot pending)
September – November – one remaining for each month
December – one remaining! (inquiries for this spot pending)
January 2010 – one remaining | February – two remaining | March – two remaining | April – one remaining
And now – let’s see who made it to the end of this post with a little contest! The first previous client who e-mails me (411_at_jcotaphotography.com… replace the _at_ with @) will receive a free mini accordion album of pictures from their last session in the mail! Your session must have yielded at least fifteen pictures so that I have enough to choose from. 🙂 Prize claimed; thanks!
This is Mae Piper. She is three days old. She came so fast that her mommy’s midwife didn’t make it in time, and her daddy delivered her! (No, I am not kidding.) She already follows sound with her eyes. She is a little firecracker… and her momma’s not intimidated. She’s the youngest of four, and she’s already brought this family a whole lot of joy!
These are her sisters and brother.
A special picture with big brother
This is her happy family.
And if the following three pictures don’t tell you what a distinct little personality she has, I don’t know what will! 🙂
And this is big sister. She and my son get along famously and I not-so-secretly am already planning their wedding. 😀
This was such a fun session! Big brother in waiting is just adorable… as you can see! And here I am amazed at another stunning mommy-to-be who is eight months along! *sigh* My favorite part about this session is all of the cute family moments!
Life unposed! Love the lighting… and the laughter…
And some with the whole family!
And my personal favorite…
And lucky, lucky, lucky me! I get to photograph baby sister when she comes!
I love the concentration, payoff, and surprise in these pictures! And yes, he’s just as sweet as he looks… and more!
And a special mommy picture. 🙂
I love repeat clients! I cannot believe how much this little lady has grown and changed since her newborn pictures! She has such a joyful spirit. We did this session earlier in the week as a surprise for daddy’s birthday present!
Such pretty girls!
and they are adorable little feet, too! I had such much fun with this little guy today. He is a rock solid sleeper at (I believe) eight days old. Well, he’s a rock solid sleeper during the day, at least!
First try… he’s the perfect foot model!
My son did this, too:
Here’s the (rightfully) proud mommy and daddy!
I love the sweet little faces they make in the first weeks!
And I get to do pictures with him twice in the next year! I love my job!
