I hope you all enjoyed dressing up, passing out candy to neighboring kids, and beautiful weather. Most of all, I hope you remembered just how tender, magical, and precious childhood is.
Here’s our little dalmation.
My husband took this one:
He is the cutest kid in all the world. Okay, I’m biased.
And the reason is… I’m finally updating my website! All the galleries have several “never seen” pictures, so head on over!
I didn’t plan on doing Christmas mini-sessions this year, but since I’ve booked all but one session for a Christmas return, I’m wondering who might be interested in participating in an itty bitty session. It would be one location, one spot, and 2-3 pictures. The idea is that I’d schedule several itty bitty sessions in one day for those who really need pictures for cards or gifts.
If you’re interested, please e-mail me at 411_at_jcotaphotography.com (taking out the underscores and replacing at with @, of course).
We had good fun and a long walk scouting out some new downtown locations for pictures. And how lucky am I that I get to photograph their wedding next year!!!
I was a little THRILLED when I opened this one:
I think my reaction upon seeing this wall was near comical. I do pictures in the ally behind it all the time, but never actually turned the corner!
They brought little miss for some family pictures!
Not posed. Just sweet.
How could I NOT get some portraits of her?! I was slightly on the giddy side upon seeing the scarf!
I think we may have a future photographer on our hands here. I asked her where she wanted to lay, and she picked this direction “so that the street isn’t in the background”. Love it!
Today I carried my son to the car from the grocery store all bundled in his little pullover. He said “cold, cold, cold” all the way to the car. It’s that time of year, and I just love it! I just love adorable children all ready for Christmas, too! I can’t get over their little outfits and their little smiles. If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you’ll remember these two cuties from other sessions.
I don’t want to show off too much here, since this is the Christmas card picture session, but I know this one is safe. I think kids are wonderful. We all like smiles, but even the little pouts are so fun to capture.
That’s what these two are! This was such a fun, intimate wedding with a whole lot of love. I’m so thrilled that they selected me as their photographer. You’ll remember that we had a great engagement session recently, and the wedding was just as successful.
They had someone play Spanish guitar throughout the entire wedding. It really made for a romantic atmosphere. Everything is better live!
He sees his bride in this picture (I love these ones). They did something really neat. He met her halfway and walked her the rest of the way down the aisle. It was precious symbolism.
And now we skip to the exit! Perhaps I’ll share some ceremony pictures with you later.
The light was fading when we got to couple pictures, but I’m glad that it held out for us a little bit! I just love the connection in this one (not hard to capture with these two):
Is this not the most beautiful idea for wedding favors?! The bride purchased the little boxes from Michael’s, and the gals at Be My Cupcake inside Lakeline mall placed the ribbon on each, filled them with goodies, delivered them, and arranged them at the reception site! The bride and groom are quite pleased with them, in case you’re wondering. 🙂
Guests filled out these cards during the reception. A friend of the couple’s took polaroid pictures so that each guest could stick their picture to the card, and it was placed right into their guest book. What a good idea… I won’t even tell you how long it took me to put our guest book together after the wedding!
It’s time to get started on those senior pictures Austin high schools! And why be committed to the blasé pictures you get from school? This STUNNING gal is my senior model this year, and I could not be more excited! We went for an urban setting, and it was so much fun!
