I had a whole lot of fun exploring this house for fun photography spots! As you can see from the pictures, they’re a super cool family with a home full of bright color and genuine love.
How could I resist?
In some ways I’m glad that I have a boy – the clothes for girls are just too tempting!
These two pictures are some of my very most favorite newborn pictures. Something about them needs to be felt, not just seen.
And you can sit them in the spot, but you can’t force such a look of love:

She sang an entire little song for the Longhorns during our session! I’m still smiling just typing this out!
Who can blame daddy for being so thrilled with his little gal in this picture?!
And this mommy actually made these amazing letters on her wall! She put my letter w/ribbon to shame!

I try to get near even on the color and black and white pictures for the blog post, but I just threw that little hope away while I was editing these pictures. Mama has such a great eye for pattern, texture, and color that I couldn’t help but share these images in all their eye candy glory!!
If you have one of my business cards, you’ll remember this little cutie as a newborn. She’s the little bundle swaddled up on the top!
This is the most adorable mobile I’ve ever seen! I can’t remember where she got it from, though…

I just love when mommys and daddys still call each other by fun little pet names even while braving the challenge of the first year of parenthood! These two are so sweet!

Sure, all newborns come with their demands, but this little lady just seemed so at peace in spite of being faced with a whole new world.
While taking the first two pictures I was thinking about how amazing it was that she was so contented by her mommy and shared such a close bond with her… as tiny as she is!
Is she not the sweetest little joy?!
I have to say that she’s awfully close to her daddy, too! We have some very special father-daughter pictures from this session, and this is just one I really love.

that I don’t like is withholding family pictures in my sneak peeks! Perhaps I’ll divulge their family pics after Christmas, but I must not right now so that the card is a surprise. Fortunately, there are a few little glances from an adorable father-son moment we caught during the session. Oh my word – this little guy is a CUTIE!
And this guy has grown so much since his newborn session! He has such a perfect little face!
